What's a ball game without cotton candy?

Walking the field..Jake's on the White Sox team and Isaac on the Marlins

Jake and team mates, Andrew and Jake C.

FYI -- Rockies lost 3-1 to the Mets

Looks like a great day. I love taking our junior high youth group kids to a ball game. There is something almost magical - and always unhealthy and really hot...

totally unhealthy...
I brought water and crackers but bought them, slushies, nachos and cotton candy...
ick
how can they eat all that stuff and still run around? I'd be in a coma...
It was fun though

and how very brave of you to take a JR HIGH youth group to the game...I thought I was being brave w/ just three kiddos

Hmmm. I don't think they sell cotton candy at baseball games here. Then again we only have a minor league here. Looks like the kids had fun.

When did Andrew get braces? Isn't he like in second grade? BB2 is headed into 2nd, and has only even LOST two teeth. I can't stand this whole, get braces when they still have more baby teeth than adult teeth. AUGH!

cough. I'm glad you had fun!

What a cool experience for the kids! I've only been to a couple baseball games in my life...I seriously need to get out more!

DF--no cotton candy? and no one has rioted?

ganelle -- it is amazing how many kiddos get braces these days...it's like you're weird if you don't get them anymore...

scott -- it's pretty cool, once a year they do a youth baseball day at coors, all the little leagues in all of the denver and surrounding suburbs get reduced price tix and then the teams get to walk the field...and hotdogs, the best, but the kiddos chose nachos as their main course....

teresa--i only started liking baseball after the kiddos started playing it, and now i understand some of the rules...mostly it's fun to watch the kids enjoy the game...

Never mind winning and losing - just playing at a stadium like that must have been a fantastic experience!
