Don't fall over, I'm back....

I finished my last presentation for my very last class ---- woo hoo. Now I just have to pass boards and I'm an RN (this should happen sometime in June). I have to say, although I received the education promised, this was one of the most soul-crushing, ego-busting, miserable two years of my life.

Whatever....

So....cute story about one of the kiddos....

Don't know why we started in on this conversation (and really, as parents don't we often wonder how some conversations came to be?) but the boys were asking Jason and I why sisters and brothers can't get married.
I said, "because it's illegal."
Jake asked, "why?"
I said, "because it's gross and nasty."
Jake said, "Mom, picking your boogers is gross and nasty, but that's not illegal."

hahaha -- very true, but I wasn't ready to get into a genetics lesson with the nine year old.

Have a great day!

Congratulations on your accomplishments! I think we all need a mom's night out to celebrate your victory with you.

sometimes when my oldest starts asking stuff like that I go in to the long, technical explanation... just to watch her eyes glaze over and to see how long it takes her to get away. I love that!

CONGRATS! Now I need to ask you. what do you think this is??...imagine me exposing some area of my body at this point...

(get used to that, you will hear it all the time, from the grocery store to the ball field;)

While it may have been soul-crushing and miserable, I'm guessing it also ranks pretty high on the lifetime accomplishments list. (Funny how those two things tend to go together.)

Congrats!

Congrats on the schooling... good luck on the testing!

Gotta love kids! Sometimes I wonder if they think up questions that they think will make us uncomfortable just to see how we react and answer.

Congrats on finishing school! Weird conversation from the kids... eh, I'm sure I asked some pretty odd questions of my parents.

Congratulations on finishing school and rejoining the rest of humanity! I can't remember if I've had this discussion with my kids. They ask so many weird questions that I forget most of them.

Because it makes crazy people.

Actually, Justin was really intrigued about the genetics of siblings, etc.

WOw - you were gone. Just so you know, I re-read your quotes from patient charts thinking it was a new post, and laughed just as hard as I did the first time. - maybe I'm going senile, maybe you're funny - you be the judge!

Well, it's past May 15 so apparently you're now "official" as an RN! Congratulations! May you have many happy years in your new career and may you touch many lives.

Welcome back. When I finished with my Masters, I asked Kendall (then 11) what she had learned from my example. She replied, "Get your masters before you have kids!" (She said it with a smile.) Good for you-that's quite an accomplishment!

The straight-forward, intelligent reasoning of children blows my mind sometimes :)

And WOOOOOO, RN!!!!!!!

Now, that post was almost a month ago - are you hiding again?
