Do I have to put a title in? I can't think of anything clever....not that any of my other titles are very clever....it's there looking at me, this blank box that MUST be filled in.... Don't I sound OCD.

ok, I digress, but can I digress when I haven't even started writing about anything?

Really, the point of my post is DO NOT watch Premonition on the day your husband leaves for a business trip. I tried so hard not to dissolve into a gooey mess, but no such luck...I ended up crying in that big gulping sob ugly way (umm, how do starlets just tear up and look ever so delicate, and I look, well like a drag queen from a very bad docudrama). I tried to call hubby but got his voice mail. Made me cry more! Thankfully, had a brief moment of sanity and decided NOT to leave a message because really who is not going to freak when they hear their wife crying on the other end and who isn't going to get mad when they find out it's because the wife just watched a movie that was really really sad because it involved a dead husband.

By the way, the movie wasn't even that great! Maybe I'm hormonal...I better go check the calender and hide the chocolate.

Two very cute blogs that I just added to my blog roll...thanks Dodi for turning me on to the QC report She's even writing a real book and everything. And This gal won a contest on Chased By Children and I can see why, she's very funny. If I lived in her area I would throw jelly beans at the powerful bald gay guy (oh you so want to read her post now don't you).

So happy this week is over!!!! And sorry oh goddesses of motherhood, I will be serving hot dogs and tator tots in front of the TV this evening....I'm that tired. Last Wednesday I was explaining to my friend, Katy, that I was taking the Scarlett O'Hara approach to school "I'll think about it tomorrow" and the Thursday lecture we were learning about anxiety...blah blah blah, really do they need to 'teach' nursing students about anxiety...aren't we living it.... any how, one very effective coping device is to break things down and not look at the whole picture, just get through today and then think about tomorrow tomorrow...and the teacher even referenced Scarlett O'Hara....I MUST be brilliant (bwahahaha, so laughing at myself right now)....anyway, to all those nay-sayers who insist denial is a bad thing I still disagree, it's the only way I'm getting through life right now!

Hey I served hot dogs and oven fries the other night, 'cause it had been a lousy day, and I don't even have the excuse of being in nursing school!

Are you suggesting that there is something else moms are supposed to feed their children?

I figure if I'm supplying them with love, hugs, nurturing environment, I should be cut some slack in terms of the meal plan I provide them with.

Are you still flying solo? And tending to additional Howler Monkeys? You aren't stressed...you are insane...insanely generous! :)

nope, just insane! ms colleeno is getting away for the weekend with hubby sans howler monkeys and since they're over, what's three more?

i guess i should clarify...the hotdogs were the only home cooked meal they got this week...it was fast food/pizza and one trip to red robin where i DID order a plate of steamed veggies for all of us to share....

If my kids would eat hot dogs they'd probably get them twice a week! It was cold pizza for my howlers tonight. In front of the TV.

They did have applesauce. Does that count?

Wow- you must be hormonal. I gave that movie the rare, but significant rating of, "If you only see one movie in 2007, be sure that it is NOT... Premonition"

Past recipeints of this rating include the 2004's "Wimbledon" and 1996's "Escape from LA."

I was very disappointed in Sandy for doing that movie.

And now I'm craving 'tots...

If anxiety is getting the best of you and you need some alone time you could always put the boys on a plane to DC for the weekend.... Between your brother and I, I'm 99.5% sure that we'd remember to show up at airport to pick them up!! Although, that idea might ADD to, rather than subtract from, your anxiety...

gina you may regret that offer!

And, foolish Gina, she made the offer in front of all your sister wives. what time does the next flight leave? Do you need me to give them a ride?

Oh wait, we've got your oldest son on Friday, and my boy would be devasted not to have his second grade friend over...can we ship them out after the playdate?

No regrets!! (notice, I just said "for the weekend" not for an eternity life... four days in a ROW!!)

I was actually talking to a coworker today about how fun it would be to make zucchini bread with a little kid, so that I could share in their excitement with them as they realized that vegetables can be made into something that tastes an awful lot like cake(clearly the moment I realized this was a significant point in my own childhood)

Know who makes good tater tots? Sonic.

Yep.

Fast food wins out again!

Are you really going to link Fabio's picture to your blog? I don't think you'll fool anyone... His hair is MUCH blonder than yours!!
