I've typed like three different things for my title and I just can't think of one....
I have a request of all you who I so enjoy reading...STOP POSTING so that I don't miss anything while I'm stuck studying and taking tests....I was only able to catch up on a couple of you (and I'll catch up with the rest this weekend) but then when I catch up with the others, I'll have to go back and start all over...So, I just need you to post according to MY schedule...I'll post that later.

I totally failed my first math test, but was able to retake it, yay, and got a 90, yay (so now if I am your nurse you can be assured I'll get your medicine dosage right...well at least 90% of the time). Took my first psych test and it was a 92....also yay (however, in nursing school they both equate to B's) Anyhow, my point is, school is starting out okay. Well, at least the academic portion of it...my clinicals? Well, I'm not sure how to even explain it? Except, being on the pysch floor for the past couple weeks makes me realize that my family is most likely more on the eccentric side rather then the crazy side.

I'm so all over the place...but this was cute...Jake was reading a book on myths and he blurts out, "Mom, Jason is a god", I replied, "well, he certainly thinks so" Then Jake goes on to read that Jason fought off lions and Isaac blurts out, "I could totally see dad doing that" and he was serious. I love that both our kids still think we're still cool, smart and fun....I'm not looking forward to when we are idiots to them.

And, we have another 40th birthday in the household..Jason's FORTY today. Happy birthday honey...I love you and believe you can fight off lions too.

I have reached the stage where I am cool is some ways and a total idiot in others. It has been a natural progression for me - I don't think any of the kids woke up one morning and thought "Dad is an idiot!"

Happy Birthday Jason - I want to hear about the hydra!

CRC--okay, gonna sound like an idiot here, but what's a 'hydra'?

TZ, I don't know what a 'hydra' is either so don't feel too bad...darn that language barrier! Ha!

Okay...LOL about the nurse getting your meds dosage right about 90% of the time! NOT GOOD! LOL!!

I can't tell you how much you inspire me with going back to school and all...I love that!!

I can honestly remember when my mother became an idiot. It happened over night. I had a crush on a cute boy and she wouldn't let me go to his house after school...he was home alone. That day she became an idiot but over time I finally realized she was smarter than I EVER will be!

Oh, and if you are ever my nurse, I want you to bring a calculator before figuring out my doses ;)

ooh okay...Hydra..mythological creature...and that's why you are a professor and I am not...

teresa...thanks and Ohn and teresa: the whole med thing...thankfully there are charts, palm pilots and loads of places where you can look up how to do things as well as a double check with another nurse method...so don't worry!

ohn...hahahaha, now that's funny about not letting you go to your friend's house when he was alone...

Happy Birthday to the God in your home. Jay Z will always be the toughest guy on the block!

I love that the pysch ward makes you feel more normal. It's all relative I suppose (and in my case I mean relative, as in my relatives!!!)

Happy birthday to your hubby and congrats on your tests.

The Hydra was a snake with lots of heads that guarded the Golden Fleece. Each time a head was chopped off 2 more grew in its place. Jason had to kill it.

PS Not a professor, I just work at a University.

crc...hahaha, so just assumed you were a professor, sorry, and thanks for the info.

dodi and DF, thanks, I'll pass on the well wishes

Ganelle...my family reads like a pysch text book...so with you there (to the point I've actually told people I was adopted..hahaha, my mom just laughs at me when I do that)

It is the best when they think you are still cool. Most of the time my fith grader still loves me and even still busts out a "mommy" every once and awhile. My kindergartner still thinks I rock!

Happy Birthday to Jason and many more!

I don't even have as good an excuse as you and I'm totally behind on blog reading and commenting!

I think if your kids think you're cool now, they'll always think you're cool to some degree. Mine think I'm cool a lot of the time. I'm purposely uncool just enough not to let things get out of control.

School can be so challenging. 92 sounds good to me, but I know they all seem to have their own grading systems. Good luck.

So cute! I'm sure your clinicals will go great. It just takes awhile to get used to everything. A friend of mine is a nurse and she wasn't crazy about her clinicals at first but she worked through it. You can do it too!!!
