Rainy, Lazy, Sunday Afternoon

We had quite the down-pour Sunday afternoon.

Jason worked on the never ending project that is our master bath (behind him, he's building the closet for the washer and drier, it used to be the shower)

Hannah, just hanging out, checking out the rain (yup that's missing tile, seriously this is a fixer-upper house)
Jake watched cartoons in our room, Isaac got into his PJ's (mix-matched and the top from Christmas--what a get-up) and played video games in the family room.

The rain was coming down in sheets. It didn't last very long, not even an hour of heavy rain and then drizzling here and there, sometimes through the sun for the rest of the evening...typical July afternoon storm in the front range.

The rain makes me feel right at home. We got a bookend weekend - rain on either side of it but luckily sunshine in between.

Keeping fixing the fixer-upper. Sweat equity pays off in the end.

I LOVE the rain, we don't get much of it here!

we just got the rain at the end...and instead of cooling things down it just made it muggy...ick

i can't wait til the fixer upper is fixed!

Look at all of that free water for the plants! I love the rain :) We've been getting a lot of it here in DC and MUGGY just about sums it up! Hopefully it will be dry for your visit!

Can't wait to see the "after" pictures of the bathroom!

danielle...are you feeling better? i like that expression 'rugging in' must be an australian thing!

Sometimes rain is the best thing for getting stuff done. You can stay inside and not have to feel guilty about it. But that muggy feeling? Yeah, that's the worst. I can handle heat but not the humidity.

I know all about the never ending projects. They really do never end. And I'm never going to move because then I might have to do the projects all over again.

Mmmmmm. I love the rain too. Gives me an excuse for a hot drink and a quiet afternoon under a blanket.

I hate that muggy feeling after the rain too but it's nice to not have to water the lawn, flowers and garden though!

Those were great pictures!

And I have to agree with the commentor who said that they dont' want to move b/c they'll have to do all those projects again...I KNOW! I had my last house all looking exactly the way I wanted it...now I am startin over again! But...I actually love it!

Can't wait to see the finished master bathroom! I love after pictures! :)

terri terri...I can't even stand the heat!

daddy forever...I'm not sure I'd know what to do with myself if I didn't have a project. but it would sure be nice to find out!

anymommy...that's how I feel about the fall...I can't wait

teresa...i can't wait to see the finished product myself!
i think if i get this house the way i want it, i'll probably be ready to move after a year and start all over, sometimes i think it's the project itself that's so interesting...but then my husband would shoot me...hahahaha

It was raining like that here yesterday. Today is better, but still not as good as last week. No shorts today!

Chief Rock...Even in the rain we wear shorts...
as a matter of fact there are many who wear shorts here in december..
I remember once, wearing shorts one day and that afternoon a blizzard rolled in

we have strange weather in Colorado

I really miss the rain. I'd love a good storm right now and hopefully cool things off a bit!
