My darling husband....

My car needs some work...hubby says the transmission, I'm not so sure and I haven't taken it in because I like my cushy position in a place called Denial; it's safe and happy and not too expensive. So I was day dreaming with hubby about my getting a new car when I graduate. I mention that maybe I'll go for a Toyota Camry Hybrid. Sooo...

He says: I thought you wanted an SUV for when it snows
Me: I figured I'd take yours when it's bad.
Him: silence
Me: Sheesh, why do we need two SUV's?
Him: Well I need to get to work too.
Me: Honey, you can work from home...my job will entail Saving Lives.
Him: I kinda save lives

he's a computer programmer

Me: raise my eyebrows
Isaac pops into conversation: Mom saves lives dad, you save computers. She's more important.

Did I mention Isaac is gifted.

Smart boy, but I'm on your husband's side. It has nothing to do with me being a computer geek or anything.

Tracey: You know, I love ya like a sister, and with that in mind, I must agree with you...but deep down a little part of me knows that since my own happiness and daily ability to function depends so much on computers, well...JayZ and his geek squad can sometimes be the group that saves the day...so we of course can head off and save the world!

Oh, I think JZ is just jealous, and doesn't want to share his beautiful baby with ANYONE!

ohn are you getting rid of it because of our very lovely gas prices?

martha...too true, computers have certainly saved my world...

and colleen...that man luvs his beyonce...really i'm not sure if he'd save me or her in a fire....

scott...thanks for the info...you and hubby would get along...he's a trekkie too...hmmm, i guess i could have asked him, but wasn't sure if it was a saying that younger people use...

and hey, you have a girlfriend now, it's understandable that you don't get to your fave blogs or post as much as you used to...

Issac will make some girl a wonderful husband someday! Sigh, he has such a way with words. I'm sure the girls in school think he's dreamy!

Have you driven Beyonce in the snow before??? Or has JayZ been a selfish gangsta?

Just wanted to add that if it wasn't for Computer programmers, Trekkie's and Stephen Hawkings, all the life saving technology and gadgets abound in hospitals and clinics would never have been possible. Science enables your ability to save lives! Go team.

BTW Jason, how does the "WORD VERIFICATION" security feature work?

MEZ? is that you brother-dearest and if so you should be on MY side..LOL

if it's not you then you must be one of jason's friends...

Yes. Love you sis.

LOL! Give that boy a gold star!

I agree - you win - no question. My husband is a nurse and I would Gladly let him have the better vehicle to get to work in a snow storm...yep, I would suffer through spending the day at home, watching tv and eating junk food - is their supposed to be some sort of drawback to that?!?

Way to go Isaac!

My kids are just like that!

I vote for nurse over computers any day. However, you could argue that nurses use computers...

And with the price of gas, I recommend a commuter car whenever possible. (This from the owner of an SUV that cost $65 to fill up on Saturday. UGH!)
